Yogyakarta, 13 November 2025 — The Master’s Program in Literary Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Diponegoro (FIB Undip), conducted an academic visit and collaboration implementation with the Master’s Program in Literary Studies, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FIB UGM). The event took place in Room 709, Soegondo Building, FIB UGM, involving lecturers and students from both master’s programs.

This activity was organized as a follow-up to the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between FIB UGM (Number 811/UN1.FIB/Sek.Dek/2021) and FIB Undip (Number 615/UN7.5.6.2/KS/2021), which emphasizes academic collaboration and the advancement of literary studies.


Program Presentation and Academic Discussion

The event began with presentations from both study programs, showcasing their visions, curricula, academic activities, and research development directions. This session served as a platform for mutual understanding and recognition of potential collaborative opportunities.

Following the presentations, the program continued with academic discussions involving lecturers and students. The discussions were dynamic and addressed key issues in literary studies, research methodologies, scientific publication development, and potential collaborative research aligned with the progression of the humanities.


Signing of the Implementation Arrangement

As the highlight of the event, both institutions held a Signing Ceremony for the Implementation Arrangement, affirming their commitment to carrying out collaborative work programs. The document was signed by:

  2. Dr. Sukarjo Waluyo, M.Hum., Head of the Department of Literary Studies, FIB Undip

The signed Implementation Arrangement serves as the foundation for various collaborative initiatives, including:

Strengthening Academic Networks

This activity not only reinforces institutional relations between FIB Undip and FIB UGM but also expands the academic networks of lecturers and students. Through the implementation of these collaborative programs, both institutions aim to enhance research quality, improve scientific publications, and support curriculum development based on contemporary scholarship.

The academic visit concluded with a joint formulation of follow-up plans for upcoming collaborative activities. These include timelines for joint textbook development, preparation of collaborative research proposals, and scheduling of visiting professors for the upcoming academic year.

Through this academic visit, both institutions hope to foster a stronger partnership and contribute significantly to the advancement of literary studies, particularly at the postgraduate level.

The event concluded with a group photo session to mark the beginning of a new phase of academic collaboration between the two institutions.
